Clear terms for the ProperQuote Early Access release

Early Access service

ProperQuote is an early-stage service being tested and improved. Features may change, pause or be withdrawn, and interruptions can occur. Do not rely on ProperQuote as the only copy of records you are legally required to retain.

Your account and records

You are responsible for access to your sign-in account, the accuracy of information you enter and the documents you send. Do not use another person’s account or upload information you do not have permission to process.

Quotes, tax and payment calculations

ProperQuote provides calculation and document-building tools, not legal, tax, accounting or financial advice. Suggested tax labels or rates are starting points only. You must confirm the correct rates, VAT or sales-tax treatment, CIS deductions, payment terms, totals and legal wording for each job and location before sending a document.

Native app subscriptions and local records

Where offered, ProperQuote Pro is an Apple in-app subscription for creating and editing quotes and invoices in the native iPhone and iPad app. Review the price, billing period and any offer shown by Apple before confirming a purchase. Apple manages payment and renewal.

Use More → Subscription → Restore Purchases with the Apple Account used for the purchase, or Manage Subscription to manage or cancel through Apple. You can also follow Apple’s cancellation instructions. Deleting local data or the app does not cancel the subscription.

When Pro access ends, saved documents remain available to view and export, and backup and deletion remain available. Native workspace records are stored locally and do not automatically sync with the web app. Export a separate backup before deleting the app or changing devices. Restoring a subscription does not restore local business records.

Acceptable use

You must not use ProperQuote unlawfully, mislead customers, interfere with the service, attempt to access another workspace, distribute malicious material or use the service to send spam. We may restrict access where needed to protect people, data or the service.

Your content

You keep ownership of the business, customer and job information you enter. You give ProperQuote permission to process that content only as needed to operate, secure and improve the service and to perform actions you request, such as producing or emailing a PDF.

Availability and liability

ProperQuote is provided on an “as available” basis during Early Access. To the fullest extent allowed by law, ProperQuote is not responsible for losses caused by incorrect data entered by a user, tax or pricing decisions, missed deadlines, rejected documents or service interruptions. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Ending use

You can stop using ProperQuote at any time and follow the native-app or web instructions to permanently delete your workspace through Delete ProperQuote data. Deletion does not recall documents already emailed, printed or shared.
